In an action similar to the Convent General of the KYCH, the York Rite Sovereign College of North America suspended the requirement for KT membership in the College where a Sir Knight is expelled without cause or for membership in the CBCS.
You may read the letter from the Governor General below.
"To protect the members of this Order and provide certainty as to their membership as Companion Knights of the York Rite Sovereign College of North America, it is hereby ordered:
"Any member of this Order who was a member in good standing of Grand Encampment as of August 31, 2021, will be deemed to continue to meet the requirement of maintaining membership in that prerequisite order, except in case of voluntary demit, suspension for nonpayment of dues, or discipline after a properly convened and adjudicated trial under Knight Templar law for an offense other than membership in the Christian Masonic Order, Chevalier Bienfaisant de la Cité Sainte (CBCS).
"This action is meant to maintain the status quo until such time as the prerequisite Order has set a consistent course." (Emphasis added.)
